National Poetry Writing Month

I haven't written a single poem this year. OK, that's a lie. I wrote a trite and irritating haiku. So, when my new friend Andrew Shattuck McBride suggested that I register for National Poetry Writing Month I laughed and told him I didn't have the cojones.

After some encouragement (knees quaking) I registered my facebook fan page  http://www.facebook.com/CarrieMoniz79. Then, another friend of mine told me she'd created a blog just for this event which sparked my own desires to enter the world of blogs. And here I am. 

I've registered both sites. My intention is to post my daily attempts on both but we'll see how that goes. April is going to be, by far, one of the busiest months for me this year so I'm not making any promises but even if I write a single line each day I will be much better off than I have been lately.
